Noon Passama – Otherselves
Arnhem Museum, Arnhem
1 November 2025 till 1 februari 2026
In her solo exhibition Otherselves, jewellery designer Noon Passama explores the deep connections between humans and other creatures. Drawing inspiration from the twelve animals of the Thai and Chinese zodiac – symbols she has known since childhood – she transforms them into jewellery that is worn close to the body. These animals not only mark time, but also represent the traits and values that guide and connect people.
From Bauhaus to Mecca
Design Museum Den Bosch
8 November 2025 until 5 April 2026
This exhibition explores the life and work of the architect Dr Mahmoud Bodo Rasch, whose family has its roots in the Bauhaus tradition. Inspired by nature and the lightweight construction principles he learned from Frei Otto, Rasch applied these ideas to Islamic architecture and urban design, with a particular focus on the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. He is renowned for designing large, self-deploying parasols in Medina that protect pilgrims from the extreme heat, combining functional design with a spiritual purpose. The exhibition is curated by Yassine Salihine and designed by Tarek Atrissi Design.
IDFA DocLab

14 – 22 November 2025
The 2025 edition of IDFA DocLab, the 19th instalment of IDFA’s pioneering new media programme, featured the theme ‘Off the Internet’. This explored the paradox of a world that is perpetually connected through technology, yet at risk of disconnection by the same tools. The programme examined the growing desire to disconnect, the impossibility of truly logging off, and the privilege of being able to step offline. The programme used immersive and interactive art to explore new forms of presence and connection.
